If you are having trouble getting results for your search here are some things you can try:
Check you are searching the right area of law
Use our Legal Issues Guide to find the most likely area of law that your issue falls under.
For some areas of law, you’ll find suggestions for other areas you could search. For example: if you don’t get any results searching for elder law in your area you could try searching succession law instead.
Use a different location search
If you have used a post code to search, try typing in a suburb name instead. i.e. If you typed in 4170, try typing in Morningside instead.
Or if you used a suburb name, try using a postcode instead. i.e. If you typed in Helensvale, try typing in 4212 instead.
Expand your search
If you are searching for a solicitor that works in a particular area of law and you are not getting any results in your location, try expanding the search area (up to 100kms).
Use the firm search
Search for firms in your local area using the “Law Firm” button.
Go through the list and visit some of the firm websites – you’ll often find more detailed information about the type of issues the firm handles and the way they like to work by doing this.
You’ll be able to see the solicitors that work for these firms too.
